The game is based on a regiment unit made up of mainly Malay soldiers, who fought valiantly to the dead when the Imperial Army invaded Singapore in 1942.
The design idea I had for this was to reflect the Malay heritage, hence the impression of Arabic/Jawi calligraphy.
